James is a solicitor specializing in employment law and dispute
resolution. As well as being a partner in the firm, James
is head of McKinnell’s Employment Department and a member
of our business services team. He has a particular passion
for employment and discrimination law and acts for both claimants
and respondents in tribunal proceedings as well as advising
employers on a range of human resources matters.
James prides himself on his ability to achieve his clients’
goals effectively and efficiently and delivers honest and
practical advice in a way that can be understood by all. In
relation to the Bribery Act, James is responsible for the
overall risk assessments and policy reviews on behalf of our
clients to make sure that they are staying one step ahead
of the law.
In addition to employment relation matters, James acts for
a wide spectrum of commercial and corporate clients with a
particular focus on property and land based dispute resolution.
James has a track record of winning compensation awards that
are well above the national average.
In the endless pursuit of an effective work and home-life
balance, James enjoys spending time with his family, reading,
writing and occasionally upsetting his neighbours with his
electric guitar.
